If you died tomorrow, have you done enough for Jesus Christ?

Do you believe in Jesus Christ, and think that is enough?

Is your faith bold enough to step out of the crowd for Jesus Christ?

It has been 6 years since I experienced God first-hand in my life when he restored me, forgave all of my sins and wiped my slate clean, and transformed my life. In those years after I spent my time focused on the Lord, reading and studying the bible. I spent a lot of time in prayer and meditation. I experienced the truth from the Holy Spirit, and dove into my faith and trust in God each and every day. I would like to believe that I have matured spiritually over the last few years because of the incredible experiences I have had with Jesus Christ in my own personal life, and how comfortable I become with my own life through my faith in Christ.

However, as I have well documented in this article and in this article, that I have been stuck in this rut in my faith where I have been feeling flat. I feel that the Holy Spirit and all of the goodness I have experienced with Jesus Christ has all been taken away or removed. It is more difficult for me to read the bible because I feel that I am not retaining what I have read. Even though I still prayer, I don’t think my prayers are as effective as it used to be.

In my articles when I realized that faith is more than just feelings, but more of knowing who Jesus Christ, and how I can know Christ, and Christ can know me:

I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

John 10:27

For me I questioned if I have done enough for Jesus Christ because honestly, I believe that I know Him, and He knows me but what have I done to show him or what actions have I taken in my life to show Christ I am a believer? I have to remember the disciples that followed Christ. The disciples put down everything in their lives and dedicated their lives for Jesus. What have I done while living with the Holy Spirit to have Jesus know me? The truth is nothing. I do my best to live my life according to the commands and teachings of the Jesus Christ, but I have not done much with respects to preaching the Good News of Jesus to anyone. I just started blogging about my personal testimony of Jesus Christ over the last 18 months.

Do I think God knows me – yes, I do. Do I think Jesus knows I have faith in Him and believe in all that He is – yes, I do.

Do I think I have done anything bold to walk with Jesus Christ? No, I do not. Honestly this blog and my social media accounts to support this blog is as bold as I can get. I believe God is putting me in this flat or dryness because He is preparing me for the next chapter of my faith, and that is to bold with Jesus Christ.

So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

James 2;17

My faith in Jesus Christ has not produced any good deeds that I am aware of, only God knows, but I do know that I am not producing nearly as much good deeds as my faith should be producing. What good is all this faith and belief in Christ, if I am not being bold in my faith in the name of Jesus Christ? Nothing, as James put it – it is dead and useless.

What does it take to be bold with Christ?

Confidence

“Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”

Acts 28:31

“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.”

Ephesians 3:12

To be bold, you must have confidence in your faith of Jesus Christ. Your faith must be 100% reliant on your belief and trust in God and Jesus Christ. It is a scary world out there, and so much evil is at every turn. Even those who are close to you will look at you crazy and weird for even preaching the World of God. But your faith must be immovable. Remember all of the key characters in the bible, all of them had supreme confidence in the Lord to follow through with the plans that the Lord made for each and single one of them. You must remain confident in your faith with Jesus Christ.

Fearless

The whole world laughed at Noah as he builds the ark. Moses had a stuttering issue. David was half the size if not smaller than Goliath. Abraham was prepared to kill Isaac because God tested his faith. Jesus took the cross and died on it for our sins. All of these great characters in the bible were fearless in their faith in God, and trusted God to lead them through. How bold is your faith when it comes to your trust in the Lord? Are you fearless enough to do what God is asking you to do? In fact, the bible says to only fear the Lord – this is the only fear you need. The bible goes further and says that fear in the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). This wisdom will only help you preach the Word of God to anyone. If you are fearless in everything else means your faith in God is so strong that you are willing to endure whatever the enemy throws at you because you know that God is with you and for you. You can and you will be so bold to go out into this world and preached the Good News.

Love

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

John 13:34-35

Jesus Christ is rooted in love. His sermons and preaches were from a place of love for everyone. He spoke only of the truth. He is fair and just to all. So, if you are to be bold in your faith with Christ, then it is fair to only say that you must love one another as Christ has loved you. This sign of love is a devotion to Christ as a follower of Christ. Every single person who has ever done God’s will in the bible has had extreme love for God and love for others despite the hate and criticism met from those who opposed the Lord. To be bold in faith requires love for Christ, love for God, and the love for others.

When you walk with Christ, walk with Him in confidence knowing that the Lord is with you and the Lord is for you. Walk knowing that the Lord himself chose you be a follower of Christ, and you have the privilege to know Christ and to share in His ministry. Do not fear what the world is offering you, for your fear in God is the wisdom you need to walk and worship in spirit and in truth. There is nothing in the world that can stop you and the Word of the Lord, so be fearless in your words and actions when walking with the Lord. You cannot be bold with Jesus if you are in fear, let Jesus handle all fears that you may have.

Be humble in all that you, and love each and every one that you encounter. Remember that you represent Christ, not yourself. You represent all that is good, all that is loving, and all this from God – not yourself. Do things for the Lord and not for yourself. Offer your life because of the love you have for Jesus. Be prepared to suffer. Be prepared for the world to hate you. Be prepared to be spoken down to. Be prepared to forgo the pleasures and treasures of this world so you can have the treasures in heaven for eternity. You are a child of God. You are a disciple of Christ. Do all work with Jesus and all good deeds because of your faith.

Ask yourself, what have you done today to encourage others to seek Jesus Christ. It could be anything. Whatever you do, be bold about it. Don’t hinder your faith because of this world, heal this world because of your faith.
